1. Who we are

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at https://www.totalpeptides.uk (the "Site") and your purchase of products from Total Peptides Limited.

Total Peptides Limited is a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 17454125 (trading as Total Peptides, "we", "us", "our").

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you: (a) are 18 years of age or older; (b) have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract; (c) are purchasing products strictly for laboratory research use only; (d) understand and agree to these Terms; (e) will use the Site and products in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations; and (f) will not administer, or cause, permit, or enable any other person or animal to be administered, any product by any route, including injection, ingestion, inhalation, or topical or mucosal application.

At checkout, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and accept these Terms by ticking the confirmation checkbox provided; that confirmation is recorded against your order.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site or purchase any products.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Product information

Products sold: we sell a variety of research peptides and laboratory supplies as detailed on the Site from time to time. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove products without prior notice to you.

Research use only: all products are supplied strictly for laboratory research use only. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and agree that: (a) products are not for human consumption, injection, ingestion, inhalation, or topical or mucosal application, and must never be administered to a human body by any route; (b) products are not for veterinary use or administration to any animal by any route; (c) products are not for diagnostic or therapeutic use; (d) products are not medicines, supplements, or cosmetics; (e) you will handle products in accordance with all applicable safety regulations and laboratory protocols; (f) you are responsible for ensuring appropriate storage, handling, and disposal of products; and (g) you will not resell products to third parties.

Accuracy of information: we endeavour to ensure that product descriptions, images, and specifications on the Site are accurate and up-to-date. However, we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Product images are for illustrative purposes only, and actual product packaging, labelling, or appearance may vary. We reserve the right to correct any errors in product descriptions, pricing, or availability at any time without prior notice.

Product availability: all products are subject to availability. We do not allow backorders. If a product you order is out of stock, we will notify you promptly and refund any payment made for that item. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time without prior notice.

4. Orders and payment

Order process: you may check out as a guest or with an account. To place an order, you add products to your basket, proceed to checkout, confirm you are 18 years or older and accept these Terms, confirm your purchase is for laboratory research use only, provide accurate billing and shipping information, and complete payment.

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to: suspected fraud or unauthorised use; pricing or product description errors; out-of-stock items; suspicious or unusual order patterns; violation of these Terms (e.g., resale, suspected human use); inability to verify payment or identity; or compliance with legal or regulatory requirements.

If we cancel your order, we will notify you by email and refund any payment made, unless cancellation is due to suspected fraud or violation of these Terms, in which case we may retain payment pending investigation.

Payment: we accept payment by the method(s) offered at checkout, which may include: (a) Pay by bank — payments initiated through Open Banking by Fena Labs Ltd, trading as Fena, a payment institution authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 934835); you authorise the payment directly in your own bank's app or website, we never receive or store your online-banking credentials, and funds are sent directly from your bank account to ours; and (b) card payments, where offered, processed by Stripe Payments UK Ltd. Payment methods available at checkout may change, and are subject to the relevant payment provider's own terms and availability.

Payment is taken in full at the time of order. All prices are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Shipping costs and free-shipping thresholds are calculated and clearly displayed at checkout before you complete your payment; we reserve the right to modify shipping rates at any time.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time. If a pricing error is discovered after you place an order, we will notify you and offer the option to cancel or proceed at the corrected price.

Order confirmation and acceptance: after placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This is not acceptance of your order. Your order is accepted only once we have received confirmation from our payment provider that payment has completed; we then dispatch the products and send you a dispatch confirmation email. Where payment does not complete — for example, a Pay by bank payment not completed within 24 hours of the order being placed — the order is not processed and may be cancelled.

5. Shipping and delivery

Delivery service: we ship via Royal Mail to UK addresses only. We do not ship internationally. We ship to any UK address, including residential, business, and PO box addresses. All shipments are tracked but do not require a signature upon delivery.

Delivery times: we aim to dispatch orders within 1-2 business days of order acceptance. Royal Mail delivery times are typically 1-2 business days for most UK locations, and 2-3 business days for remote areas (e.g., Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland). Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed — we are not liable for delays caused by Royal Mail, customs (if applicable), or circumstances beyond our control.

Risk and title: risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery to the address you provided. Title (ownership) passes to you upon full payment receipt. Subject to our Delivery Guarantee below, we are not responsible for packages that are: stolen after a confirmed delivery; lost or damaged due to an incorrect address provided by you; or refused or unclaimed at the delivery address.

Our Delivery Guarantee: research shipments can occasionally be delayed, misrouted, or held up during a carrier's own security screening, through no fault of yours or ours. If a tracked order does not arrive, we will dispatch a free tracked replacement once you notify us — you do not need to raise or resolve a claim with Royal Mail yourself first. This does not apply where tracking confirms delivery to the address you provided, where that address was entered incorrectly, or where a parcel is stolen after a confirmed delivery; in those cases we will review the delivery evidence with you. Delivery failures: if Royal Mail cannot deliver your package (e.g., no one available to receive, inaccessible address, pet interference), they will typically leave a card with instructions for redelivery or collection. You are responsible for arranging redelivery or collection with Royal Mail. If a package is returned to us due to a failed delivery attempt at a correctly provided address, we will dispatch it again at our cost.

6. Returns, refunds, and cancellations

No returns policy (statutory exemptions): under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers generally have a 14-day right to cancel. However, due to the highly sensitive nature of research peptides, this cancellation right does not apply. By purchasing, you acknowledge that our products are exempt from return because they are either: (a) goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly if not stored in strictly controlled environments; or (b) sealed goods supplied for health protection, safety, and hygiene reasons, which become unsuitable for return once dispatched and potentially unsealed or improperly stored by a third party. We do not accept returns for any reason once an order has been dispatched.

Refunds: we do not offer refunds for customer change of mind, ordering errors by you, products no longer needed, products that have been stored improperly, or products that have exceeded their stability period.

We will, however, put things right in the following circumstances: (a) Damaged goods — if you receive a product that is visibly damaged or compromised, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence and we will send a free replacement (or a refund, if you'd rather) — you do not need to return anything. (b) Non-delivery — a tracked order that genuinely doesn't arrive is covered by our Delivery Guarantee; see our Shipping & Delivery page for how to claim a free replacement. (c) Wrong item sent — if we send the wrong product, notify us within 7 days of delivery; we will arrange collection at our cost and issue a full refund or replacement (if available). (d) Out of stock after order — if we cancel your order due to an item being out of stock, we will issue a full refund for that item.

All refund and replacement requests must be submitted to support@totalpeptides.uk with your order number, a description of the issue, photographic evidence (if applicable), and your preferred resolution. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 14 days to the original payment method — for Pay by bank orders, to the bank account the payment was made from.

No exchanges: we do not offer exchanges. If you require a different product, you must place a new order.

Your statutory rights: nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to receive goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose, and to request repair, replacement, or a price reduction for faulty goods. However, given the nature of our products (research chemicals), certain statutory rights — including the 14-day cancellation right for most online purchases — may be limited where products are opened, used, or compromised, or where they fall within a statutory exemption for sealed or perishable goods.

7. Account and user conduct

Account requirements: to create an account, you must be 18 years or older, provide accurate and complete information, maintain the security of your login credentials, and notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You may only have one account — multiple accounts are prohibited and may result in suspension or termination.

Prohibited conduct: you must not use the Site for any illegal or unauthorised purpose; resell products purchased from the Site; use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access or use the Site; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, servers, or databases; interfere with or disrupt the Site or servers; transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code; impersonate any person or entity; harass, abuse, or harm another person; use the Site in a way that damages our reputation or business; circumvent any security measures; reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Site; or use product images, descriptions, or branding without our written permission.

Account suspension and termination: we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or illegal activity, suspected human or veterinary use of products, resale of products, abusive or harassing behaviour, or any reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Site. We may retain your data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

8. Intellectual property

Our intellectual property: all content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, product descriptions, software, and code, is owned by or licensed to Total Peptides Limited. Our company name, logo, and branding are protected by intellectual property laws — unauthorised use is prohibited. You may not: copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from the Site without written permission; use our logos, branding, or product images for commercial purposes; create derivative works from Site content; or use our intellectual property in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation.

User-generated content (reviews): you may submit reviews, comments, or other content ("User Content") on the Site. By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content in any media. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to the User Content, that it does not infringe any third-party rights, that it is accurate and not misleading, and that it does not violate these Terms or any law. We reserve the right to remove or edit User Content at our sole discretion, without notice.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

No medical or professional advice: nothing on the Site constitutes medical, veterinary, diagnostic, therapeutic, or professional advice. You should consult qualified professionals for advice relating to your specific circumstances. We are not responsible for any reliance on information provided on the Site.

Product use disclaimer: we provide products strictly for laboratory research use. We make no representations or warranties regarding the suitability of products for any particular research purpose. You are responsible for ensuring products are appropriate for your research, conducting appropriate safety assessments, complying with all applicable laws and regulations, proper storage, handling, and disposal, and obtaining any necessary permits or approvals. Products must never be administered to, injected into, ingested, inhaled, or otherwise introduced into a human or animal body by any route, and must never be combined with any substance intended for human or animal consumption.

Assumption of risk for administration or misuse: if you, or any other person, administers a product to a human or animal body by any route (including by injection, ingestion, inhalation, or topical or mucosal application), that act is taken entirely at that person's own risk, is a direct breach of these Terms, and falls outside the purpose for which the product is supplied. This is the case regardless of the product's purity, composition, formulation, packaging, labelling, or condition on receipt, and regardless of whether that condition met our stated specification — a product meeting its specification is not thereby rendered safe, tested, or approved for administration to a human or animal body, and no representation to that effect is made anywhere on the Site. You acknowledge that any decision to administer a product is made solely on the initiative and judgement of the person doing so, against our express instructions, and that we have no control over and no visibility of how a product is used once it leaves our possession.

No warranty: to the fullest extent permitted by law, all products and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality, accuracy, non-infringement, and freedom from viruses or errors.

Limitation of liability: to the fullest extent permitted by law, Total Peptides Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities; unauthorised access to or alteration of your data; statements or conduct of any third party on the Site; or any other losses not directly caused by our breach of these Terms. Without limiting the foregoing, we shall not be liable for any injury, illness, or death arising from or connected with the administration of a product to a human or animal body by any route, or from any other misuse, abuse, or improper handling of a product. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; breach of the terms implied by section 12 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (title and right to transfer); defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987; or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this paragraph extends our liability to injury, illness, or death resulting from a decision to administer a product to a human or animal body in breach of these Terms, except to the extent a court or competent authority determines that the injury, illness, or death was directly and materially caused by our own negligence or by a defect in the product as supplied, independently of that decision.

Indemnification: you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Total Peptides Limited, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees), however arising and by whomever brought — including by you, by any other person, or by a third party such as a family member, dependant, or the estate or representative of a deceased person — from or in connection with: your use of the Site; your purchase or use of products; your violation of these Terms; your violation of any law or third-party rights; the administration of a product to a human or animal body by any route, by you or by any other person; any onward transfer, gift, resale, or other provision of a product by you to any other person; or any other misuse of products.

10. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or epidemics; war, terrorism, or civil unrest; strikes, lockouts, or industrial action; government actions or regulations; supplier failures or shortages; transportation disruptions; utility or internet failures; or any other force majeure event. We will notify you of any force majeure event affecting your order and will endeavour to minimise the impact.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at legal@totalpeptides.uk — we will endeavour to resolve it promptly and fairly. If we cannot resolve the dispute, you may consider mediation as a voluntary, non-binding alternative to court proceedings. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing a claim in the small claims court or exercising your statutory rights.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the provision shall be deemed deleted, and the remainder of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.

13. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Total Peptides Limited relating to your use of the Site and purchase of products. You acknowledge that you have not relied on any statement, promise, or representation not expressly set out in these Terms.

14. Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, or subcontract any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign, transfer, or subcontract any of our rights or obligations under these Terms without your consent.

15. No waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of Total Peptides Limited.

16. Third-party rights

No person who is not a party to these Terms shall have any right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

17. Notices

Any notice required or permitted under these Terms shall be sent by email to the address you provided or to legal@totalpeptides.uk. Notices shall be deemed received: if sent by email, on the day of transmission; if sent by post, 48 hours after posting.

18. Language

These Terms are written in English. Any translations are for convenience only. The English version shall prevail.

20. Key definitions

"Business Day" means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday in England and Wales.

"Consumer" means an individual acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft, or profession.

"Pay by bank" or "Open Banking" means the payment method offered at checkout that initiates a payment directly from your bank account via Open Banking, provided by Fena as described in Section 4.

"Payment Provider" means Stripe and/or Fena, whichever processes a given payment as described in Section 4, and any successor or additional payment provider we may use from time to time.

"Products" means the research peptides and laboratory supplies sold on the Site.

"Site" means the website at https://www.totalpeptides.uk.

"Terms" means these Terms and Conditions as updated from time to time.

"We", "Us", "Our" means Total Peptides Limited.

"You", "Your" means the user of the Site or purchaser of Products.
